Championship Tournament Information
The VA/DC FLL 2011 Championship Tournament will be held December 3rd & 4th in Harrisonburg in cooperation with James Madison University. Teams must qualify at one of the Regional Tournaments being held in November in order to advance to and participate in the Championship Tournament.
Regional Tournament Information
Registration Process
All teams must register with VA/DC FLL in order to participate in an FLL Regional Tournament. You will need the following information to register:- National FLL team number (provided by FIRST)
- Coach's contact information
- Team member details including name, gender, date of birth (to allow the system to assign age division), and whether or not the team member has participated in FLL before

Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information about the registration process. All teams participating in any of the 2011 VA/DC FLL Regional Tournaments must complete this tournament registration process by October 15th.
Tournament Selection Process
The tournament selection portion of this registration site will be available from October 1st to October 15th. Refer to the Regional Tournament Schedule below for details about tournament dates and location.
Each team must provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices for tournament assignment (all three are required). We will attempt to match all teams with their first choice for tournament location and time. However, we will move teams to their second or third choice if necessary to avoid exceeding tournament capacity. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Official tournament assignments will be posted by October 19th.
Tournament Registration Fee
The registration fee for regional tournaments will be $75* per team, due at check-in on the day of the tournament. Payment may be made by check (preferred), cash, or a purchase order from a Virginia or DC school system. Please make checks payable to Virginia/DC FIRST LEGO League and be sure to write your team number(s) on your check.FIRST Consent and Release Form
Coaches are responsible for ensuring that each team member, mentor and coach submits to the coach a release form (signed by the team member's parent/guardian). Team members will not be allowed on the performance floor without these forms. Coaches must bring a copy of the signed release forms to leave at the regional tournament registration desk.Consent and Release Form (PDF)
Team Information Sheet
Please bring four (4) copies of the Team Information Sheet to the regional tournament. It is optional, but very helpful to the judges, if you attach a team photo on the back. You will turn in one copy at the registration desk. The team will give one copy to the Robot Design Judges, one copy to the Project Judges and one copy to the Core Values Judges.2011 Team Information Sheet (PDF)
Tentative Regional Tournament Schedule
* The fee for the Reston tournaments will be $100 per team. The higher fee reflects the fee that FCPS is charging VADCFLL for use of the school.
